Asiatic Garlic is a group of garlic that is a subgroup of Artichoke garlic, itself a subgroup of softneck garlic.

The garlic in this group has firm, plump cloves, with thick, semi-glossy skins on the cloves that is somewhat hard to peel off.

The skin on the bulbs often has fine stripes running from top to bottom.

Above ground, the plant has short, drooping flower stalks. You harvest garlic in the Asiatic Garlic group when their leaves above ground start to turn brown.
