Au Naturel is a French word for food served with no cooking, no sauces, no seasoning and no added flavouring.

If the term is applied to a vegetable or fruit, it may have been washed and sliced.

Essentially, it means a "raw food."

Language Notes

When applied to people, it means "naked."
