Basil Mint is a perennial mint. It grows up to 2 feet (60 cm) tall, and has slightly heart-shaped leaves with a bronze tint to them. It blossoms with purple flowers.

Some can detect somewhat of a spicy fragrance, but many cannot.

In any event, it loses any scent or flavour if cooked.

Possibly the same mint as orange mint.

Also called:
Mentha x piperata citrata ‘Basil’ (Scientific Name); Basilikumminze (German)
