A Chicken Drumstick is the lower part of the chicken leg. Drumsticks range in size from 3 oz to 7 oz, depending on how fully grown the chicken was, but most Drumsticks brought to market these days range around 4 oz or just slightly over.
They are fattier than the breast part, but the fat renders during cooking and bastes the meat, keeping it very moist.
They are also very inexpensive, because everyone either wants breasts or whole chickens. And, unlike Chicken Wings, no restaurant mass-market demand for them has yet arisen.
You can eat Drumsticks with a knife and fork, or just pick them up with your fingers (depending where you are.)
Chicken Drumsticks are sold in packs of multiple drumsticks, fresh, frozen, cooked or cooked and seasoned.
