This is a French dark whole wheat flour with additional fine wheat bran added to the flour. It is either used as is for "Pain au son", or bakers mix it with a Type 55 flour to make a lighter loaf, as type 150 has a lower gluten ratio and the other parts of the grain included in the flour can cut through the gluten that does develop.
It is also referred to variously as farine complète, farine de blé complète and farine intégrale.
